I'm so excited I'm going to drive the wife mad :D

I'm not a fan of the dsg box so stayed traditional

and went for the manual.I ordered the buckets too

So can't wait to see them.

That just leaves to elusive 280 badge.

Didn't think the buckets were available until later builds. Post some pics when you get it. Trying to decide whether to order buckets or just leather

Ah mate sorry to hear that.
I had a sinking feeling when the call came in but wasn't expecting an early delivery.

280 badges are a figment of everybody's imagination. Bet they were photoshop'd on the press release photos ;)

I'm due to pick up my new ST tomorrow.

I've had a few new cars in my time, but never a Seat before. Are there any common issues to look out for during handover? I know that picking up a new car can be quite an exciting experience and it's easy to get caught up in the moment and miss things. Am I right in thinking the audio leads should be included?
Anything else I may not have thought about?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Treat it as if you was picking up a used car, there could still be dents on it.

Obviously the condition of the car will be the first thing on your mind, but once you have checked the car inside and out there are bound to be other stuff you want to verify. Worth making a list so you don't forget the obvious stuff in the heat of the moment. Simple things, I had on my phone were

Check delivery miles, in the hope the salespeople haven't been using it for a demo vehicle!
12 month RFL
Full tank fuel (if you negotiated that beforehand)
Leads for stereo head unit
Satnav SD card present and correct
Car mats present
Both sets of keys supplied
FR badge on the rear! Seat seem to have a problem with badges going missing ;-)

etc.
