Expected Delivery?

Ordered ours on 9th May, build week given as 25 (this coming week). I telephoned Seat CS today and was told that the car had been built two weeks ago! That's three weeks from ordering.
It is now sitting dockside, waiting for shipment and Seat suggested that I ring them next week and they will have a better idea of delivery to the UK. Sitting at the docks for three weeks though.........

Somebody at Seat CS was telling me porkies!! Checked today and it was built this week and still at the factory. I quoted the previous conversation with CS and the woman I spoke to reiterated the foregoing and apologised. I am not a happy bunny.

Just had a call from Brett at Stoke and looks like mine landed in the country in the last couple of days. Ordered 19th April and I will pick this up next week some time, so looks like a 9 / 10 week all in. Very happy with that ! For the record my car is a vanilla 3 door DSG in Nevada white.

I wouldn't get too upset mate, your still making good progress. I ordered my car a month before you (6th April) and mine is just being built this week.

Patience is the order of the day......... :D

Just been told by the Dealer that car is at "status 30" and should be with them by the end of June. No idea which ship, I forgot to ask.

I ordered on 7th April and have had mine since 6th June, seems to be luck of the draw. I ordered from a main dealer as they matched DTD quote.

Agreed mate, luck of the draw. Although there doesn't look to be any logic to this I'm sure there will be!

I have to admit it is frustrating when you see people who ordered cars after me getting them weeks before I do but getting worked up about it does nothing to help. And I can't get angry at the dealer, they have been great and it is out of their control, plus they are taking me to the Goodwood Festival of Speed next week :D

I bet it is mate! I joined the forum and was reading stories of some orders taking an insane amount of time. When I ordered my Golf in 2011 it took 5 months from ordering to delivery. I was worried if it took a while I might be caught up in the factory closure over August.

Hope you get some good news soon.

Watch out for minor changes when you get the car as some are saying they are not getting under seat storage in the front or left hand boot net in the boot. I got the storage but not the boot net. Again, all luck of the draw!

I suppose whatever is built prior to closure will be sent to the docks for shipping and orders placed will be queued until the factory re-opens

Ordered my Leon FR ST 1.4 TSI (150 ACT) in late May, with Tech Pack, Convenience Pack and Seat Sound. I've been given a build week of week 28 so hopefully those World Cup hangovers will be a distant memory in Martorell!

Dealer said delivery is typically 6-8 weeks after the car is built - does that seem about right based on others' experience?

Collected my FR ST 184 yesterday. What a car!
It was a long wait but it's here now. :)
It is worth to be patient.

I too ordered my FR 1.4 150 ACT, Nevada White, Tech, Winter, Convenience Pack & Performance alloys 2nd June and been given a build week of 28. Was advised by the dealer that it would be ready early August, but going to wait until the new reg to collect... also hope the Spanish have cheered up by then!!
