Expected Delivery?

Getting annoyed now. Dealer left a message nearly a fortnight ago telling me my car had been built.
Called today, salesman who I had dealt with has moved to another dealer in the chain, and his replacement told me the car was due to be built next week.
Called SEAT to confirm and was told the car was being built this week.
When someone gets around to kicking dealers up the arse I have another one for the list.

Impressed you have a delivery date being quoted. The best I have is build this week and delivery some time next month.

expatel - seems the same info as mine - I was told they are building it tomorrow in fact, so yours and mine could well be on the same boat over and at your dealer on March 22nd.
What colour is yours? - mine is the one no-one seems to want until they see a picture of it - Montsant Red. It seems to vary considerably according to the light so it's anybody's guess what it really looks like in the flesh. It won't get the garage though - that's where my MK1 Cortina 1500cc [B)] in Goodwood Green lives!

Scott - believe it or not I was never given one - I went from being told it was "Status 20" a month after I placed my order to a period of silence, followed by today's announcement that it would be at the dealer on March 22nd. Order was placed Jan 16th - 1.2TSi SE.

Gone for the basic Emocion red. If I was to indulge in a metallic finish I probably would have taken a punt on the Montsant as it looks promising. Hope you will be happy with it.
In response to the other question, this week is build week 9.

Out of interest, have you been quoted week 11 build?
Just trying to guess when mine may end up at the dealer.

I can say that I have submitted the order on the 24th of January, have been quoted build week 10 and I am hoping to have the car ready for the delivery at the dealer by the end of March.

Yes. Provisional week 11 according to SEAT Customer Services.

Do not listen to SEAT CS. I just had a slightly surreal conversation with them. Had a call the other day saying my car will arrive this Friday. Strange, as my dealer sales manager and I have been tracking the boat its on and it arrived early this morning!!! They are still convinced it will be docking Friday - and they use the same system - bollocks.

Then they said it will take 2 weeks to get delivered which the sales team at Snows say they are getting the car within 3 days of docking.

Who the f**k are SEAT customer services. I think they are a complete ineffectual load of idiots. The person on the phone has to go off and refer any question you have to 'another person' and then you have this scenario of going to and fro for every other question.

Had the same experience with Seat CS, they said my car would be delivered into Sheerness and take a week or two before hand over. Car was delivered into Tyne on a Sunday and by Tuesday afternoon the car was with Snows.
Fortunately only got two days of waiting left.

Hope mine comes down from Sheerness as quickly although I won't get it Saturday but hopefully a week today. They need to get the rear spoiler and mudflats fitted too.

Good luck m8! Please post some photos with the rear spoiler once fitted. :D
