Delivery taken at 17:00 last night.

Much reading ahead.

Good luck to those waiting.

Trivia for those who are interested - mats supplied without being asked for.

Those who like to see dealers in uncomfortable positions will enjoy this. Salesman picked up the car from the delivery centre to get a PDI / valet at the dealership. Headed off to do the around twenty mile trip with the car in delivery mode without realizing this meant he had a top speed of twenty one mph. Trip was almost all on single carriageway roads , so he made few friends on the way

Are you sure cars are driven from the centre to dealership only in delivery mode ? My car had 11 km on the clock, and I assume the driver pushed the car as they only delivered 4 FR 184 until now and this was the first one with DCC... Tank almost empty, only asked and received a polish as the car had a small mark from someones jacket

For my dealer the cars are delivered to a central PDI site. After PDI they are then sent on. To save time my salesman organised to have the PDI at the dealership. This short circuiting of the process was why the car was in delivery mode. The salesman thought this meant things like rubber bits in the suspension and the like. It was only when he got going he discovered this included the speed restriction.

I was just informed by the dealer that the ETA for my new Leon ST FR 184 DSG would be up to 4 months.
I placed an order on 21st March and was then informed it would take 8-12 weeks.
Now they say they got a letter from the factory that due to high number of orders the delivery time is now up to 16 weeks. I live in Poland btw, but I guess the situation is the same in other EU countries. What a frustrating info...

They just forgot your car or just the docks are to busy to get enough transporters ?
They "forgot" to push the right button at SEAT UK. Cars don't leave the secure dockside compound without SEAT UK's say-so. No-one said so ...

Ship a car half way across Europe by enormous, slow boat in little more than 7 days? Yes. No problem.

Transport a car 150 miles down the A1 by truck in less than two weeks? No. Sorry, too difficult.
