ok, however i still fail to see why someone with this option would be allowed to have fogs on when others are no allowed.
Like i say, i guess it depends whether they are clasified as foglights, although as they are low (and headlights have to be a above a minimum height above the ground) they cant be clasified as headlights. Sidelights may not have the same restrictions, but these are so much brighter than sides they cant be clasified as sidelights either!
Who has ever heard of an accident that was caused by the use of front fog lights?
I know its naughty to use fog lights when the conditions don't require them and because of that I have never used mine apart from testing the stupid things. I call them fairy lights because thats all they really are. I don't know what all the fuss is about? the only fog lights that are a problem to me are rear ones, I have never had any problems with peoples front ones. Maybe I have anti dazzle eyes or something.
I can't help thinking all this front fog light razzle dazzle is a bit OTT. Just don't stare at them. Also all this attempting to blind fog light offenders with your high beam is just as bad and makes you a bigger dazzler. IMO unless you are in a car fitted with blues and twos it's none of your business and you should just let them get on with it and let the police patrols deal with them. At least they have lights on not like some that have none on in the pissing rain.
Back on OP topic, no it can't be done although you could wire them up to the high beam but that's just as pointless as the turning light function, but hey you would look cool doing it................

yes, you have special anti-dazzle eyes. In the most part they are not too much of an issue, however when the conditions are not helpful fog lights can be a serious issue to other motorists. Eg when its raining, road surface is shiney etc.
However i do agree that for many fog lights its not that bad, as many fog lights are pathetic and are not up to the job anyhow!

I will have to take your word for that as I have been driving now for 20 yrs and for the last 13 I have been driving 40-50k miles per year and I can honestly say I can't remember any dazzling issues with wet shiney roads/front fogs.
Don't see the point in lighting the curb or whatever for parking everyone has been driving for years without the need for this. Same as don't see the point in if you leave the indicator on when parked it leaves the side light on, why what does this achieve other than flat battery eventually?
i like the parking light function. For me its really for when you are parked in a position where highlighting the car would be useful. Its amazing how many people simply drive into parked cars!
Agree, I use that function almost every day. When parked on the side of an unlit road it stops your wing mirror being beaten off whilst using half of the battery power.
I can leave mine on all night and the battery shows no signs of being flat.
The dervs should cope with all weekend.

Not with two amps wired up and HID I don't think mine would last all weekend at all!
Why would people drive into your car unless parked illegally ie on a bend or something when parked the rear lights are reflective anyways surely if it was that bad legally all car would have this function enabled. If I want to see where my car is I quickly unlock it so the lights flash must just be me then!

We are all different I s'pose but I park in an unlit road when I visit my mum/dad and the road is full of broken mirror glass from residents cars. My car has never had a mirror bashed off and I'm pretty sure it's because of the parking lights.

Anyway Aimez your amps, HID's etc are all off when your car is parked up so they are not draining your battery, the one side parking lights will only draw 1.25 amps if my maths is correct. 1.25 amps is nothing at all when your derv battery is rated at over 60 amps per hour.

Yeh I guess you are right course they are off! Prob cos of working at Gatwick long stay parking and jump starting about 10 vehicle a day makes me paranoid about leaving lights on for more than an hour! I would prob also be paranoid it would attract unwanted attention to my car as well.
