Done a search and cant find the answer to this....

I need a new rear wiper blade and since its a cheap mod I thought I'd do the fabia wiper conversion however, it then occurred to me that I didnt know what the rear wiper was like on the mk2 leon.

Did a google image search and it appears to be very similar if not identical to the fabia wiper. Does anyone know if this will fit the LCR? how much would it likely cost? and whether its longer/shorter than the fabia wiper?

The thing that puts me off the fabia wiper is the shorter wipe radius!

Its not noticably shorter!

Still does a better job than the standard one, alot quieter aswell.

do they normally keep the parts in stock or do they have to be ordered? If its a case of "usually in stock" then I wont ring....gives me a chance to go for a little drive! :)

When I ordered my Fabia wiper it took at couple of days to order in.

Depends on the size of the dealer. Some have the ability and storage space to keep things like this in stock, others don't so have to order it in.

As for the size, as already said, yes it's shorter but in reality and in use you don't notice it. The fact it works much better more than makes up for it.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but does anyone know if a VW dealer for example can order other VAG parts like the Fabia wiper etc, or do I have to actually find a Skoda dealer? I've no idea where the nearest one to me even is!

May i intoduce a third option??? -- no rear wiper:funk:

found them
Skoda part numbers
Estate rear arm 6y9955707a £10.57
Estate rear blade 6y0955425 £3.80
Hatch Cap 6y6955435 £1.59
Prices and parts correct as 8/1/09

i use the vw touran rear as not so bulky and perfect fit and clean arch is big. very quiet as well.

same here and I just got a replacement blade from halfords after 3+ years on the original

got this today SKODA FABIA REAR WIPER ARM SEAT LEON CONVERSION KIT from fleebay and I'm a bit worried as the fittings are diffrent. The skoda's one does not have them little "noches" around arm hole which allows better fit onto the spindle. Does it make any sense:confused: help! Shall I just tight the nut utill it will not turn anymore, don't want to break the thread by overtightening. Thanks.
