fabia vrs v leon fr tdi v ibiza cupra tdi

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Not at all biased by any chance ??
is that leon 1 or 2

leon 2 FR TDI wins hands down for me. it's 2.0 TDi starting at 170, got more room, but costs £17k witout any mods :(

Leon 1 150 TDi is 10bhp less than beeza, and heavier, but still bloody quick. (a friend has a chipped one, and it matches acceleration with a stock LCR)

Beeza Cupra for me seems to be stupid on insurance. LCR comes out cheaper :wtf:

Furby's are great little cars, only come in 5 door, which is a good or bad thing dependant on requirements. starting point is 130bhp, same as Beeza FR (which is what we're going for next)

The Leon 2 TDI FR is the bomb the basic version is well euipped and well worth the price tag when you consider the alternatives.....

Golf GTI TDI 170 - £19,595 which comes with semi climate control, single CD player, auto lights, GT exclusive styling....

Leon 2 FR TDI 170 - £17,495 which has dual climate control, MP3 CD player with ipod/psp connector, cruise control, folding mirrors, exclusive FR styling and it looks so much better..

Depends what you want...

We've got a Fabia vRS and Beezer TDI Cupra. The Cupra has amazing brakes and doesn't understeer like the Fabia, but the ride is a LOT harder...

The 130 still feels perkier low down...

ibiza cupra tdi! better brakes as well so you can use the power safety.

fabia 175-180 1300kg
leon FR 190-200 1300kg+
ibiza cupra 200-210 1200kg

leons more poractical and still fast

fabia cheap and fast

You say that, but in a recent Test Drive article the New Polo Gti which has 288mm discs outbreaked a 1.8T Cupra Mk4 with the seat sport 4-pots, strange eh.

oh and ibiza cupra is more like 1250-60kgs. But would be the best one to go for, purely because depreciation is starting to hit the mk1 leons as mk2 takes over. Plus the Fabia don't look as good as the mk4 ibiza. Although insurance wise the fabia would be the to go for.

130 TDI vs 160 TDI

What I find with the 130 is that it is not sports orientated, it is more tuned for generally nippy town driving, whether as the 160 TDI relies on high end grunt to get the extra horses and torque the other thing I need to point out is that the Fabia VRS is far lighter than the Cupra because yes the Ibiza Cupra does have better brakes and handling mainly due to the bigger discs, harder and heavier dampers/struts and bigger exhaust manifold, as well as extra weight for the bigger turbo and intercooler.....so the 160 has to pull more weight....

that may be the case but I have only seen one woman driving a Leon 2 the rest have been men, but the FR should certainly change all that, its a mans machine just like the advert says.....but have to say the women orientated cars I like anyway....

how do you work that one out??
the tdi 160 cupra engine alone is heavier than the 130, it has a bigger turbo, intercooler inlet manifold the car itself has bigger wheels, brakes, discs, suspension components, exhaust, even some of the interior features are heavier.........
They might be heavier than the 1.8T version because that engine is far lighter than the TDI....

the fabia is heavier than the ibiza cupra,
the fastest remaped and standard is the ibiza cupra tdi, the best at handling standard is the ibiza cupra, the best at stopping standard is the ibiza cupra.

doenst't mean it is the best car.

for the best all round car it is down to needs, budget and taste.

this is a silly thread! not the only one!
