Fabia wiper coversion

just been reading this thread with interest but couldnt for the life of me remember what my standard rear wiper looks like, just had a look and im stunned that i have let it go unchanged for so long!!!!
I think the touran wiper gets my vote so i'm off to do a little bit of shopping!!

The OEM wiper looks like it's been made out of Meccano.

that's exactly what i thought when i saw mine.

Touran/fabia wiper mod is one of the best value mods out there. It's also a tell tale sign that a Leon owner is on here. A bit like a mason's handshake

Much better than OEM. No smearing and like the Fabia rear, they actually clean the screen and dont squeak or judder. The bonus is that they look heaps better too.

excellant! i have started a new thread asking for part numbers and such so hopefully wont be long!

Still deciding wether to go for the Fabia or Touran rear wiper, will i need a new end cap no matter which one i finally go for?

i have all the part numbers for the rear now i need them for the front!!!

Phoned some dealers today and got these quotes:

Touran arm £20 - Fabia £10.57
wiper £6 - £3.80
End cap £2 - £1.59

Do any Skoda's use the Tourans rear wiper?!!!!

Yay mine arrived today from eBay seller! It was a few quid over buying it from Skoda dealer but it saved the hasssle, just ordered it & it arrived, no fuss!
It's brand new & sealed too so well chuffed, got the wiper, the arm & the cap!

Don't have a garage so will fit it after work tomorrow or at the weekend.

Quick question though, is it just a case of undoing the bolt then simply replacing it?
Anything I need to know before attempting it?

No worries - I just changed it in the dark with a big-ass MAGlite nestled under my chin! - I couldn't wait!
It's awesome though - NO MORE JUDDERING!!!

What a fantastic, cheap mod & it looks SOOO much better than standard too!

So touran setup would cost roughly..

£28 ? Wheras the skoda would cost £15.96 ?

tbh i think the touran is worth the little extra, saw one fitted to a touran on the way back from london yesterday, look nice and modern

Also, dont suppose you have part numbers so i can call into my local VW dealer.

Been down to my local VW dealer after deciding that the Touran rear wiper arm setup is the one for me. I took with me a list of the part numbers as quoted in this thread but the wiper arm part number didn't come up exactly as quoted when the parts dept checked their system.

Part numbers they found were 7E0955425 blade (as on the mods part numbers sticky) but for the wiper arm their system showed 1T0955707 C. Not A. Anyone else who's done the Touran rear wiper recently come across this? - same part, do you think?

Ordered My Fabia One after reading this Post!!

Have to wait till tuesday for it to arrive!! Can't wait to fit it!! Oh and it cost me almost £20 at skoda


Also did the Crome Bulb coversion!! Looks great!

Ive just done the silver vision bulbs, and my wiper is coming in on tuesday, mine only cost me about £13 inc vat tho from skoda too.
