Facelift Head Unit Removal

Good afternoon,
The LCU screen has decided to pack up on my entertainment system. It’s been playing up for a while.
How do I remove the existing unit? Do I need keys or is it a case of removing the vents as well?
2017 facelift model Seat Leon FR.
I was going to buy a second hand unit to replace - would this need to be coded? I’m guessing all the features would just come across with it? Tyre pressure warning etc? Many thanks

Yes, you need to remove the vent assembly, the new screen would not need to be coded but are you sure it's the screen that is at fault?
Have you tried holding the power button down until the unit reboots?

Thank you for your reply.
I have tried the reboot but that didn’t work.
It’s been playing up for a while - changing radio station, or calling people if it’s on that app.
It still works, but have to navigate through the steering wheel controls. The screen had weird colours, and then nothing.
I notice that the top right of the screen is loose, so possibly had a knock at some point.
any advice on how to remove would be greatly appreciated. Are there any bolts, or is it a case of prising out the whole air vent assembly?
Many thanks

I changed my screen as well from 6.5 to 8 inch, easy to do just take your time with the trim.

That’s great. Thank you.
Currently I have the unit out, with the surround attached.
Struggling getting the unit out of the surround, as the item I have found to replace is just the unit.
would you have any tips?
Many thanks,

There are 4 spring loaded tabs on the back of the screen, quite difficult to see/access, thin screwdriver needed, try releasing 2 on one side then the 2 on other side.
