Ah sweet! Any spring recommendations then? Someone told me coilovers are better cause you get a full kit rather than just getting aftermarket springs with stock shocks etc. that's all

I'm not saying don't go for coilovers as you can have the ride as you want it but most people go for springs, totally your choice though.

I'd say H&R springs personally and I know where to get them cheap ;)

As Daniel says,

It all depends on what you want. If you are just going for looks then you won't need coilovers, some good springs is all you will need and cost you a hell of a lot less.

If you are looking for extra traction and/or want to track it etc then I personally would look into coilovers.

Don't really ever intend to track it, extra traction would be nice but not bothered too much either if I'm honest. Like I said I've never done any sunspeneion mods before so is there anything else I need to change while I'm there or just the springs? Just wanna get everything going well while it's stripped etc.
Also will springs affect the handling and comfort a lot or not too noticeably at 35-40mm?

For me the springs have improved the handling no end. I'm a lot more confident chucking it into corners, whereas before being lowered it would oversteer like crazy on roundabouts.

I would stick new drop links on while the springs are being done, as they can be seized on.

Cars at just over 60k now mate, don't know if the previous owner has changed them in the past

The dampers are on the way to being past best so I'd say if budget allows change both by either going springs and shocks or coilovers.

Looking at these ones on your website, think I'd need 55mm front strut diameter but not sure? Also how easy are these to fit?
Could dampers on there way out be the cause of my steering wheel shaking at 80mph+?

Yes the FR will be a 55mm.

It's pretty much a straight suspension swap.

Possibly but it's difficult to say for sure without checking the car over.
