Hi Guys,
I’m pretty sure my car has faded a bit. The plastic bits, like the bumper and fuel filler cap, seem to be a different shade to the metallic bits. The insides of the doors also seem a bit brighter. Depending on the light, sometimes the colours don’t seem to differ.
I recently sprayed my mirrors and door strips to match. When I picked up the paint, I had it matched off the code and they seem to be a different shade too (brighter)!
When I’ve seen older Leons and Mk3 Ibizas, they’ve looked a bit brighter than mine.
I’m 99% sure that mine is lacquered (don’t get any paint on a rag if I polish a bit), so I don’t suppose I can do much about it (polish-wise).
I guess that it’s not covered under any warranty or anything is it? Does anybody have any suggestions on how to restore the colour?
Thanks
