not technically a leon but my tolly sorry.
can anyone clarify how far the hose from the end of the intake manifold that runs to the brake cylinder with the check valve on it can be replaced back to the brake cylinder, as standard this seems to be a rigid pipe that bends all over the place on its way round the bay, is vacuum hose a suitable replacement with the same internal diameter?

pipe with the yellow arrow will be gone whilst fitting catch can.
pipe with blue arrow : how far can it be replaced and with what?

Hi Joe do you wanna buy a replacement one for yours, or do you just wanna know for what other kind of material you can replace it with??

I guess if that pipe is broken somewhere you can just cut it before the crack and replace that bit all the way up to the intake manifold with some fuel or silicone hose.

thanks for the link mate. looking at the pics I think I am on about the (brake booster line?) he's swaped part of it with silicone but cant see how far back its swaped has anyone done this?

I only used a small bit of silicone 10mm vacumn hose

As its for the brakes i didnt fancy chancing it with hose all the way

yes this is whats bothering me, but it take a right winding path is yours the same? also thinking a long length of vac hose might collapse (don't know why im thinking this) so looking at other more rigid materials as a replacement. would like to here your thoughts on this.

Yea mines goes to a valve behind the air filter then to brake servo. Why do you want to change it ? I was just gonna tape mines blue

that valve under the filter is it another 1 way valve? reason I wana change it is its a mess and im trying to remove all the pipework I can and tidy the bay up that one just happened to be next up due to the imminent catch can install/pcv deleat

Yes its a 1 way valve.As you can see its not in the way of my catch can lol
