Fault code P0171

Hi, I got this fault code P0171 on my lc 180 which when googled gomes up with 'system to lean (bank1)'

The code was cleared about 2 days ago and stayed off but has come back today.
The car runs and idles fine which led me to believe it could of been the lamba sensor but i have noticed a slight whistle when the turbo spools up and i think i can hear a hissing coming from somewhere but cant pinpoint it.

Could i possibly have a vacuum leak or is it something else? I have sprayed the MAF with contact cleaner today but havent cleared the code yet so wont know if that has helped.

Mint did you ever pinpoint the fault that was bringing on the Engine Management light? I also have a LC180 and it is coming up with the same fault.

Yes i did mate. It was a split pipe from the inlet manifold which caused the light to come on. I had a whistling sound so managed to eventually pin point what was causing it. If you remove both the plastic engine covers there are two pipes which come off the inlet manifold just behind where the dipstick is. Fiddly but have a check there.

Hey Mint, I think I have the same issue, the smaller of the two hoses has ahold in it, did you replace yours in the end?
