It's actually up on the ramp now and it's looking like my actuator is seized. Gonna try and free it off if bot it looks like another phone call to Forge is in order

Right i have checked the actuator and im 99% sure its that that is causing me problems. When i build up a vacuum through the actuator the pin that on the other side of it should move to open and close the wastegate. That isnt happening with mine. The pin is seized solid and wont move. I have unbolted the pin from the wastegate and checked to make sure that is moving so its looks like its not a ****ed turbo.

Im gonna get on the phone to Forge in the morning and get a new actuator sent out for Friday. Hopefully this cures my problem

I cant understand how this has just gone all of a sudden though

Sure is. Ill let you know how i got on sometime friday night. Might be worth checking your is ok if replacing the actuator cures my problem

People on here have said that this code could be 1 of a number of things though and has been a right pain in the arse to sort

Good luck

I originally thought it could be the n75 but i have been building up the vacuum to the actuator after the using the pipe between the both of them. That way eliminating the n75 and figuring out that it must be the actuator.

After saying this im sure ill find out the n75 was at fault to start with or something. Bloody cars!

See I borrowed an n75 off an octavia vrs that was in work :) an still same result...

How do you go about vac testing the actuator?

My dad is a mechanic and owns his own garage so i used his vacuum pump

I disconnected the hose at the hose between the actuator and the n75 (at the n75 end so that the other end is still connected to the actuator). I then used a vacuum pump to create a vacuum to see if the rod that connects to actuator to the wastegate would move as it should do. It didnt so i then removed the rod from the wastegate to see if it was the wastegate seized. That moved freely meaning that the actuator was seized solid

Was it the same N75 valve tho? There are 3 F, J and H you really shout be matching it to yours for a test ;) check the part number on yours to see witch on it is

neither did i mate. It was only the fact that i had followed all the advice on here with no luck i then took it to my dad. Didnt take him long to check it and find the source of the problem. Well at least i hope thats all it is

I did disconnect it to see if it was split or the pipe was blocked yer. The actuator is defo seized up though and it should move freely under vacuum. Strange how it's just seized up all of a sudden.

From reading comment from tuners in here it sounds like I'm better off getting a standard OEM actuator and not a Forge considering the mods I have. Don't want to risk damage to the engine or turbo if it's bot set up correctly

Yes, if the log is saved then you'll be able to import to Excel and/or copy and paste here.

Regarding the other code in your first post, "16395 - Bank 1 Camshaft A (Intake) Retard Setpoint not Reached (Over-Advanced)" - get your oil pressure checked at a decent garage, and make sure they check what the spec value should be for your car. I got this one back last night after it had gone away of its' own accord around Christmas. My turbo is also failing at the moment, suspected oil starvation so I'm thinking I've got an oil pressure problem, get yours checked and fixed if necessary. Has this code come back again?

8bit did you get a solution to your 16395 problem? i checked the codes after still having the 17705 problem with mine and 16395 have come up again

I had the car leak tested about 3 weeks again ended up having the half moon and rocker cover gasket replaced as thats seemed to be my only leak. I have checked the codes a few times a week since that has been done but 16395 has not come up till today

also the code has come up with intermittent on the end
