Hi guys I have recently used an OBD 11 to run a diagnostic and I got these fault codes up I will
Post the pics below any advice would be greatly Appreciated on rectifying the issues Iv searched online and can’t find a straight answer. Do you think I have to replace the turbo or just some parts of it ? Also I had a full service and the mechanic told me he changed all the glow plugs For me so don’t know why I’m getting that first fault code still ??

Also is there any modifications I can make to the head unit or anything else using the OBD11 ? I want to turn off the daytime running lights is that possible on a Mk3 2015 1.6tdi

Does the car drive normal?
Have you tried clearing the fault codes and scanning the car again after driving it for a few days?

For the DRL option in the infotaiment:
Or you can use the app option in OBD11 that costs 10 credits. Its called DRL settings in head unit.

As said, delete the codes and see if any come back. Codes could have been set by battery voltage going a bit low at some point.

I have deleted them and I will see if they return after a few days thanks for the reply much appreciated.

Also the car seems to drive pretty normally apart from the turbo making a whining noise when it kicks in is that normal ? The guy who did my service said it’s on its way out but I don’t take mechanics word as gospel as some just try rip u off! He said replace the turbo il charge u £500!

A little whine or whistling sound under load is normal but if its loud then its time to replace or rebuild it. Do you get a new turbo and install for that price? If so then that sounds like a fair deal.

Can record it and upload it to youtube if you want. As said though all turbos make a slight whistling noise when on boost.

I personally don’t think it’s really load but the mechanic mentioned it when I went to have it serviced and it’s only when I put my foot down and the turbo kicks in it’s not constant nor is there a noticeable loss in power it drives well still. He did a full service oil, filters, cabin filter and spark plugs for £120. He didn’t clarify if it was a replacement or rebuild for £500 I’m guessing it’s just a change but don’t know if he would use a refurbished one or a new one! This is something I would have to discuss with him before getting the work done. Dont think it’s worth it if it’s going to be a refurb one as may fail again quickly nothing beats genuine new parts

Hello I have a 2018 Leon 1.8 ST TFSI which has done 48,000 miles and the engine management light has come on with Fault code PA00F00 'Turbocharger boost control A module performance'. I took it into my local garage who charged me £70 to read the fault but said they couldnt do the repair. They suggested Mastertech, but they couldnt look at it for another 2 weeks and so I took it to my local main dealer Snows, who supplied the car new. They charged me another £145 and wanted a further 2 hours @£290 diagnosis which I refused. The mechanic said that this car needs a whole new turbo unit (even though its the waste gate actuator thats stuck) as the actuator is now part of the turbo. They only use new parts and the cost to change is £1,911.6 . The actuator was part number 06K145725K but its no longer sold separately ,presumably because the design of the turbo changed? The turbo is S06K145721QX. I tried various indepenndent VAG specialists and the best one said he could try repalcing the actuator, but his mate said he had treid on a Golf R and it couldnt be done. So I thought I would use the diagram from Snows to try and locate the actuator rod and see if it oculd be freed Despite spending a couple of hours physically under the bonnet and using diagrams and pictures of engines off ebay, I couldnt locate it!! So I am coming round to the idea that my turbo doesnt have an external waste gate actuator and I have to buy a replacement (preferably reconditioned) turbo?? Anyone experienced this?

Yes, This was my original plan, but having had three very thorough look s and feels around the engine bay, it doesnt exist on my car, hence the apparent need for the whole turbo to be replaced according to SEAT? Has anyone else had the same experience?
The turbo unit should look like this. ( the actuator is on the left side with the rod coming from it )

Hi Deano - thank you so much for this which is so helpful.
I can now feel (but not see) where the actuator is!
I gave it some lubrication in the form of GT85.
So my questions are:
1) Is it possible to make the repair by installing a new actuator (as above), and is there any special proceedure for 'charging' the new actuator? and/or
2) do i need to buy a new turbo unit SO6K145721QXXP as recommended by SEAT (and does this include a new actuator)?
3) why did the main dealer say that SEAT no longer sell the the actuator 06K145725T ?
In either case it would be supplied and fitted by an independent specialist.
Thank you again for being so helpful. Tony

1. sorry - don't know -would guess you just need to match the rod length.
2. That would be one fix and yes they come with the actuator.
3. Guessing SEAT no longer sell the part and the aftermarket suppliers have stepped in.

Hi, I've arrived to this forum and post searching for info for my Leon Cupra ST 4drive 300hp turbo electronic actuator.
I´m going to introduce myself and my car shortly, but first of all I´m writing here because I´m a bit in a hurry.

First of all I want to explain that my Cupra has right now 213.000 kms, has been always stock and without any main issue during all this time with me.
The only thing my car had was the fault with the turbo actuator that caused underboost fault, but I´ve been solving tha problem readjusting during the last 3 years the turbo actuator rod, unscrewing the nut, spinning the rod until the actuator voltage reading on the diagnostic tool obdeleven was between 3,5v and 3,8v and later screewing the nut again.
It has worked 3 years, but now the rod can´t be sppined any more because I think the actuator has reached its final peak, so I´m going to change the actuator and readjust the new one.

Thanks to the good info of this thread I´ve been able to find the correct Mahle turbo actuator part number for my car (06K145725K, now with the last part namber 06K145725T) and have bought it to and american supplier who is sending it to me to Spain from China, staying right now waiting for it to arrive here to Spain.
Before that I went to the Seat spanish dealer shop asking for it but they said it wasn´t sold separately from the turbo anymore, so I had to buy it from an external supplier.

Now what I would like to find to be able to instal the actuator correctly is the guide of this car, because I´ve found here the links in the forum (https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/resources/leon-mk3-official-seat-workshop-manuals-link.24/) but they don´t work anymore.
I mean, I need exactly the guide from where DEAN0 took the photo posted above but with all the pages.

Please, if somebody can tell me where I can download that guide, exactly the "D4B802C0BB7-4_cyl__petrol_engine_" part, I will be very grateful.

Thanks in advance I hope to be lucky.
