DMF stands for dual mass flywheel! But i have no idea why that would be growling! lol

think he means DPF?

It growles because it is 2 lumps of metal connected by springs/rubber blocks and is designed to work as a damper and take up vibrations. Think of your washing machine, the drum goes well wonkey sometimes and the outside of the machine stays almost perfectly still.

Only reason my DPF would be growling is because its sat in the shed doing nothing

ok been browsing the internet and ther isent realy that much around on this

i hav a golf gt tdi 170 i think its the same engine so hope u dont mine me using this forum

i wanting it remaped but the options i hav is

de-dpf + custom code
or
de-dpf + rs tuning

problem i hav is geting the de dpf fited and getin the car to rs tuning if i pic rs tuning for a custom map

what can any of u recomend or any advice

do u hav an RR graph of ur car on the cc map with de dpf ?

i hav looked at thers but i would prefer a print out from an actual customer

Yeh wild CC maps mate, i have 3" milltek down pipe 3" milltek back section, KnN panel filter and the WILD stage 2 remap with uprated sachs clutch, eibach sportlines, THS shortshifter. Thats the mechanical mods for handling and accelaration

i just fited my eibach sportline i realy like them firm but nice hard to explain rly

also plans for monday are OEM r32 skirts/spoiler/rear valance

and hopefully 4" slash tips and ss exhaust by powerflow on tuesday or wednesday


plans after that are the de dpf and map but trying to source as much info as possible be4 i splash out the cash

i'd throw my two-penneth in here but i dont have a print out and i doubt it would be as 'wild', however considering i do 30k a year, i'll probably survive longer engine and clutch wise.

Whereabout are you from Kilner, RS is im leeds and if you live near (assuming) JBS thats a long way to go on a confused ecu...

well i jumped in and booked it in for a stage 2 and dpf delete

itdoes feel a bit more torqy low down but tbh i dont feel like much of an improvment

i had a 306 hdi maped it to 120 bhp and was a massiv difrence than fited a FMIC and got it mapped to 153bhp and again it was a hell of a difrence


and if this map was supposed to take it from 170 to 210-240 region i would of thort ther would of been a huge difrence but imo just feels like it throws a tone of torq to start with and pulls round but dosent feel drasticly difrent to be4

mayb its just the power delivey thats throwing me off i duno but other than that side of things every was gr8

they dident ask me how i wanted the map seting up nore did they dyno it be4 or after so i duno wat its runing hmm ....

it will be goin on dyno dynamics next week if it aint atleast 200bhp i wont be happy

tbh tho if it is making 210+ bhp its a rly nice map as i can get the power down

Hmm when we all had ours done we had before and after runs


Mine feels completely different to how it felt standard, As standard it had abit of poke low down and then ran out quickly

Now it has lots of pole low down and then keeps going and is alot noiser

yer well i was hoping for a before and after run and then i was goin to go to rs tuning next week for another dyno then compare results just to giv people an idea but they neva offerd a dyno run or anything to me apart from a cup of tea i w8ed in reception the whole duration

well its definatly got more power a qwick test run home and on a hill that i could get around 80 up i just got 91 - 92

do all the people that had the dpf delete and stage 2 get black smoke wen reving ?

i dont got any at all this in itself makes me think im on a lower powerd map than most of the people with a stage 2

only time i get a little smoke is at idel (injectors ?)
