Hello sorry if this has been already covered.. noobie here. I bought an 05 leon fr mk1. Drives grand loads of history etc.. I want to know what dash lights are ment to light up when u first turn on the ignition.. I don't have an engine management light up nor an airbag light but I do have an airbag... possible someone has took the bulb out?? Do they have an engine management light? Also the boot light doesn't work and the back wiper doesn't work.. everything else is fine.. I did fix a leak from the left quarter panel as the pipe for the rear window wash had seperated causing water to leak from the joint.. boot light is corroded however.. new boot light needed? Wiper motor haven't a clue. Washer works. No click from a rely when push the wiper to engage the rear wiper.. is there ment to be a rely click just like the front wipers? Many thanks in advance!!:-o

I'm not getting the airbag or the eml.. must take the clocks part tomorrow and take a look to see if they are taped.. in northern Ireland it's a legal requirement to have the lights light up on ignition

Think you may have a faulty side airbag sensor and the guy took the bulb out IR tapped it up same with the EML, if you need any side airbag sensors let me no, also try do your inner door seals ASAP as water goes down the window In to the car, then brakes the side airbag sensors

Hmm when I open the passenger door there is a bit of water gathered up on the sill same as the drivers door.. back doors or fine tho.. take it it's blocked or something. If I take the clocks out will they be ok to work with and put back in again wouldn't make the car not start etc? Ive worked with cars but this is my first seat. At lest the wiper and washer is going now woth no leaks :) and can see out my bk window going down the motorway lol.

Yeh water on the sills is leaky inner door seals, look at that link and you will find another link to fix them, clocks won't do any damage don't worry about that, mind discontent the battery. You have all the common faults that we have all had so don't worry about them

needing a service will not make the EML come on.

a fault code reader should tell you what the EML is for

Yeah was thinking, put it on the computer, Glow plug 1,2,4 circuit permanently open... and coolent temp sensor intermittent.. any one know the score here? Reset the codes yesterday and all was grand until 60 mile and the light was on a again and brought them up
