First time SEAT owner

Hi,

I’d been after a car that I could own right out, early considerations had been a Celica, Golf, Civic and Leon among others.

A friend purchased a 2005 Audi A3 with the 1.9TDI, I had a drive and fell in love with the torque the handling and the solid feel.

Then had a look at A3’s and A4’s with the 1.9TDI but the pricing seemed steep for what I saw as ok styling, lots of Audi’s about.

The styling of the Leon never left my mind due to there not being as many mk1 and 2 Leon’s on the road as other cars.

After much deliberation and searching I settled on a MK2 2007 Leon 1.9 TDI with 111k miles and full service history. Within my budget my choices on colour where limited (black, red or silver). I’d never own a silver car which left me with red or black, happened to be a red Leon that checked out.

So here I am, hoping to share mod tips, insurance tips, repairs etc.....

I can certainly see this becoming an expensive hobby, I already have a remap in mind.

Did see the Donington meet and would love to go but it’s a 2 hour drive, short notice and I’m not sure the Mrs and kids would be so understanding at short notice would certainly be interested in further meets down the line.

I’m going to post a thread on progress, starting from stock moving to completion.
