Just bought one of these and wondering are they a direct fit? There is three 'fins' in the middle of it do they have to be cut off?

Thanks

Rik

yea as its designed for the leon wont fit 100%, you will need to trim a bit off the ends at the wheels as it is slightly long and trim off the fins for a flush fit.

most peeps reckon dat bumper off is the best option, makes fitting a piece of piss.

its a peace o pi$$ to fit. I litterally cut of the tops of the "fin bit" as described above, obviously the more you trim the more clearance you'll have at the front. Guess it depends how low your car is aswell as to how much you cut off!

Then jack the car up. Alignt the splitter so its level (get someone to hold it like I did) and pop in the first couple of screws! Your assistant can then bugger off inside and make a brew whilst you pop in the last few screws!

Trim of the overhang either side, and if needs been smooth any rough edges with a bit of sandpaper or summat (i didn't tho :p)

....and lastly prevent your girlfriend from driving the car and constantly catching the splitter on curbs and pulling the screws out.

fitted my spliter last night, must say it was alot easier than i thought. almost the easiest thing i have done. got the old dremel out for the cuts. looks perfect!
