fitting bosch 044 fuel pump

what do you people use for fittings and connections? im not sure how to go from my standard pipes to the pump itself!

(Leon) I just cut a section of fuel hose out just before my fuel rail and fitted my Walbro in the gap. I took a signal wire off the fuel pump relay to a new relay to power it.

ive got a vagwerx wiring harness so thats no worried and im putting it by the fuel filter

just not sure on the fittings

I was going to stick mine by the filter - until I had a good look at the oem plastic pipe fittings and decided they were going to be a bitch to splice into.

jbs put them by the filter, anyone no how?

here is my pump. one end is a very big push on the other is either a normal banjo bolt as seen installed or there is the option of the male banjo (just in front of pump)

Where did you get your bosch pump from? and when?

I've been waiting 5 weeks from an advertiser on here for 1. and I'm getting a little pissed off now

I was offered a refund of the money 2 weeks ago, but I said I'd wait. Maybe I should have taken the money and got it from elsewhere

mine was from vagwerx mate they had them in stock when i needed one, great service and prices

if you havent ordered it from them then maybe try them. if you have i guess its there suppliers messing about

also what wire is the signal wire?

ie what one do i need to pick up on to activate the relay?

The signal wire is the Green/white wire that goes to the fuel pump relay. Give me your email address and i will email the full wiring diagram over matey.

why not replace (or fit next to) the fuel pipe for a length of reinforced rubber ?

fit to suit your needs then

if you know the bore size and rough length let me know - got rolls of gate fuel hose here in about 6 sizes

also what side is in and out on the pic above? no arrow on pump.

id guess the banjo side is out!?

just for other peoples info, banjo side is the pressurized side.

ive managed to fit it with out cutting original fuel lines. ive mounted it by the fuel filter

all i need now is a hose joiner that connects one 8mm id to one 12mm id hose....anyone?

merlinmotorsport sold me a 8mm-12mm reducer that does the job perfect. i also picked up some 13mm id fuel line. not sure if its strong enough tho !? may collapse under suction!?

flapper, would you have any 12-13mm id hose? thank you please!!??
