Fitting Fog lights?

Hey dudes, im another newbie to the site!

I bought a basic 1.4 MK3 and i consider it my new best friend! Looking for a little advice...

I seem to have the facility to fit fog lights to my front bumper, but was wondering when i fit them if i would need to change the light switch? Not sure if its able to turn them on with the standard one?

Be grateful for some advice, thanks.

i think the standard one (like mine), you need to turn the dipped beams on then pull out the switch to turn the fogs on.
if you wire your fronts up to where the rears are then that will be fine

i presume you will not be driving around with your front fogs on when its not foggy will you ?

yep thats all you do just pull the switch towards you and they will pop on....

Don't bother with lights, use it with some ducting to keep the brakes cold when on track

if your planning to just drive around with them on when its not foggy, get some 'cruise' lights fit them in the bumper, get some cheap undercar neons and a huge chav exhaust.

just my £0.02 but driving round with fogs on when its not foggy is ghey

Wow many replies! Thanks very much guys. Hey adam jus noticed the pic of ur beeza. Looks exactly the same as mine... i fitted cupra wheels last weekend and its in red aswell, awsome! I got the cupra grill to fit today hopefully, i'll try and get some pics on.

I'll have a look at these 'cruise' lights they sound funky, but aslong as i dont have to tart around with the light switch its all gravey!

i was being sarcastic about the cruise lights and the neons etc.

but seriously if you really want lights on your bumper then dont use fogs as you can get pulled for that.

you will have to mess around with something to get a switch to turn the lights on and off,

Cool i'll have to some pics of mine on, but urs its exactly the same as mine although i havent got the silver rim around the badge. The red looks so good with the cupra wheels, im so proud, lol.
Im not looking to drive around with the fogs on, i just think it adds more detail to the front of the car if anything? I really cant stand tw*ts who do that!
I think i want to lower mine a few mill tho, jus to get rid of the gap that i cant help but notice!!

i have just got some cupra shocks and springs off a guy on the forum. will let you know at thje weekend what it does to the ride height / handling

Awsome. I was thinking of going the cheap option and fitting new springs? But would be useful to know how u get on and how much hassle they are to fit!
