Fitting K03s Turbo

Im thinking about gettin a k03s turbo... as im quite mechanically minded i thought i'd fit it myself......just wondering how hard of job is it, as i dont have a ramp or pit, i'd prolly have to use axle stands, has any one done this and is it a pain in the arse?, ive tryed searching tho and i cudnt find anything

i must say, thats the only part your not going to be able to get at properly without ramps.

axle stands won't take it high enough.

If I can change a gearbox on axle stands, I can change a turbo on em too just need it on the highest setting

I have a question have you bought the neuspeed turbo inlet pipe to fit the ko3s as i want to order this aswell. Or how are you going to fit it?

mork...wats the most difficult bit doin it on axle stands, im hopin i dont have to remove the down pipe., spose its fiddley gettin to the bolts n stuff?

If it pulls off tell me, I fancy doing this but like yourself I am technical but don't have a ramp/pit. but I do have the advantage of A&M motorsport being 2 miles away who have done a few turbo changes.

seriously does the down pipe have to come off, cant it just be unbolted and move to the side?, i mean i do knowa guy down the road whos got a car lift at his house might have so ask him if i can use it lol

You could try and take your manifold off at the same time, it'd make it easier although that in itself isn't necessarily an easy job. Doable without a ramp but soooo much easier with one!

Just wondering , if i was buying a ko3s? how can u tell them apart from the k03. because it dont actually say k03s on it, isnt that what someones has just made up?

Hi mate lol, just checking i honestly dont know wat the difference is, still wondering if its worth doing , honestly wats the hardest bit to do when fittin it from axle stands

so whats happens if you put a K03s on a previously K03 car?
will you see any difference other than faster spool up?
also if its been chipped you will need that changing?

Fitting one on axle stands is do-able, probably not the best idea though... getting the DP out of the way will be a b*st*rd. It won't be a quick job either!
