with changing the outter casing with the level sensor on it, it will all connect in the same way, as all the other pump connect differently, and can put extra strain on the pipes and connectors
i told you to change the outter case over! cos i tried mine first with r32 one still on, and was a stretch. it went in on connected up, but for a 'hassle' of about 5 mins, it fit like it should
I need a fuel hose to blank off the spare pick up and thats it.
Hardest part was twisting the seal off.
For peoples info you’ll see what you need to do when you have the two pumps side by side. Remove the 4 torx screw on the back and swap the top/back part along with releasing the two crimp connectors on the float with a pin.
On the S3 there is an extra connector on the smaller black wire which you need to cut off and splice/solder/join together.
You will also notice that’s theres a spare hose off the top of the pump, about 3 inches long with a black connector on the end which needs blanking off as this is the pick up for the other side of the tank on the S3.
As you will be using the float and connections from your OE pump the gauge will read the same.
Re-install taking your time to line up the pump arrow with the arrow on the bodywork on the left hand side and screwing the cap down tight with the seal in place correctly.
