Would anyone be interested in fitting mine to my ibiza mk4? I'm new to all this and tried myself and failed, will pay good money guys just would rather give it to one of you than the dodgey so and so's at my local audio shop

Thanks

Well it kind of didnt get past the bonnet...i got the rca n that in fine, im an ICE newbie :)

It really is easy morg. I just done my first install, a little time consuming but I got there. Hardest part is taking the Power Cable through the car. I'll get pics for you tonight to show you where it goes ;)

I managed 0AWG wire to the boot! Them 2 grommets in the bonnet, behind the glove box was a pain.

0AWG! Wow!! lol. I thought it was hard enough with 4! Thumbs up! ;) - Thats the bit I was stuck at. Carved my arm to bits!! lol

ive done a few systems now the hardest wire is always the main power if the batterys in the boot. you can cheat and run the wire into the car by running it down the a piller and drill a hole and file it smooth. poke wire in and seal with a grommet

Okay pull the side panel off

Take the rubber grommet out (keep it for later - I forgot to put mine back in:doh:) There is a second grommet behind that - poke that through with a coat hanger. Make a small hole in the first rubber grommet and put the cable through to prevent water. Then push the Red Power cable through the two holes.

Now put your hand in the side panel hole and feel behind the foam (small arms help!) Try and get a hold of the red power cable (quite footery!)

Then pull it through (leaving enough to connect to the battery and fuse with a little bit of slack too).

Now start to lift the panels and wire it straight into the boot.

Hopefully you'll be able to understand this. Any questions just ask.

And remember to run the red power cable and remote wire from your CDplayer
up the passenger side and the RCA's up the drivers side. ;)

Id like to know how to get the cills off inside the car to hide the wires. Ive ticked them up the best i can, but cant get to them near the seat, there still hanging down there

diss where the grommet in the first pic??

Its behind the first one slightly to the left when looking from the engine bay. When your inside the car you've got to feel for it as it is so tight behind the foam and a bugger to get to. Hence I couldnt get the camera up. :( :D

As you can see it was a rushed job as I was desperate to get the sound on and it was dark and freezing! I keep telling myself im going to fix it!

For the Sills - they require brute force. I put a towel round my fingers and pulled up hard. I slit my finger trying it with bare hands! lol
