I'm going to be fitting a new per cat Lambda sensor this weekend. How easy is it to fit? How far up the DP is the sensor? It's a PITA not havering a Haynes manual!!!

i think i need to change mine as iv had a pre cat sensor fault and also p0170 fuel trim as well, iv looked at the sensor and its right behind the charge pipe about 10 inches down and the connections are at the top of the bulk head behind the metal heat shield, iv got some lambda sockets to do mine but id imagine without them you would struggle as its in a bit of a tricky place to get anything on it

Thanks. It looks like to fits through the heat shield it's not as bad as I'd imagined it would be. What does your tool look like?

It's just like a socket with a groove up one side for the cable to go through mate. Had the pre cat fault come up then last night had p0170

is this going to be the correct part for the pre cat lamdba on a cupra r just seems cheap to where ive seen them elsewhere.. cheers

I've got a Bosh sensor to fit.
Here's a photo of the sensor in situ.
