Got up this morning to discover that while my car was parked over night some tw*t thought they would have themselves some fun and smash a hole in my right rear indicator. The hole is only the size of a 2p but the whole housing needs replacing. I will call Seat later to see how much a new one would cost but extremely p1ssed off about the whole thing.

I am not very technically minded but would hope it is a relatively simple job to replace, anyone else here done it? Any special tools required?

What :censored: tossers! Some people need to have a 2p sized hole put in their head!

If it's the indicator in the clusters, you might get lucky and find some on eBay. Or, stick a wanted post in the For Sale section on this forum and see if anybody who has changed their rear lights is willing to sell you their standard ones.

Or, take it as an opportunity to buy some nice new Raid LED lights ;)

Sorry to hear that mate! A friend of mine had a similar problem on his Cupra, but it was a trolley in a Tesco car park! Dented the bodywork too. [:@] Seat were asking a ridiculous price for a replacement light cluster, but he managed to get one from ebay for 99p cos no-one else bid on it! He was probably lucky, but its worth a look...

Thanks for all the replies, I feel a little calmer now!

I have been quoted £60.76 for a new one (inc VAT) which isn't too horrendous. I will try those eBay links badlydrawnbanan. Unfortunately eBay is blocked from work so will have to be tonight.

I would still love to get my hands on the little sh1ts that did it though.

Just because they are envious?

Get a rifle yourself chap, I have a paintball gun, loaded, in my waredrobe, next to my bedroom window, next to my car.

7 seconds max I estimate, from being in bed to "popping a cap" in the back of some chav's head!!

I have a genius site to try for anything you are looking for on ebay.
Try: www.fatfingers.co.uk. Its all about searching for common spellng mistakes
of the word you type in to seach.

Not necessarily Leon related but I have found loads of stuff that no one else can find to bid on.

Sorry to hear the jealousy mob have struck on you also mate. [:@]

Thanks again for all the words of encouragement, it does help to ease the pain!

I found have found a bargain one on fleabay but have wait an agonising 5 days before the auction ends.

Let just hope no one else gets their lights shot out and out bids me!

A happy end to this tale for anyone interested....

Managed to pick up a new light from eBay from £10.50. Took it to a friendly local garage to get fitted as I am useless at that kind of thing and they did it for free.

Just goes to show there are some decent people in this world.:D
