Flasing lights - coil and Traction control light

Hi all,

Literally just arrived at work at the TCS light is on full time and then 1 minute later the coil light is flashing

I know this is a common problem and is related to the brake light switch...i know I have a brake light out and was going to change it this weekend.

I presume the brake light switch will need to be replaced?

is it ok to drive home with the car like this?

I had the same issue as you previously.

Brake light switch should solve all of the above. Unfortunately in my instance I had to get the ECU reprogrammed or something like that !! Cost me £65 anyway but yours by the sounds of it will just be a brake light.

So either way it shouldn't be an expensive fix.

lovely thanks - do you just replace the brake switch then?

I have just checked my brakelights - and th eonly one that works is the top -middle one

Check the bulbs first - its possible that both have gone. Cheapest fix first if it is.

fixed - both bulbs had gone - plus a side light

job done -

Mine did this also, it was because of a blown brake bulb.
