All Working As It Should Do!!!!

got the key working cost me 5 quid to have blade cut at lincoln security 22 for the key off ebay and have the seat badge on order for wed so cost me 29 quid in total
used my chip from my spare ket as it not in any casing stragihht sawp all worked ok then coded the remote all that works so im now happy but not with vw saying it cant be done!
if anyone is wondering how to get the chip out the flip key you need to remove the badge and there is a screw under that then just unclip the key and swap the chips!

i will post new thread i think and ask for it to be made sticky but basically you need a flip key with two buttons of ebay or anywhere with the mhz rating as your key. most prob 434mhz like mine
try and get one with a blank blade
get that cut to your car at security place or somwhere that casn cut thses keys
to change the imobilisor chip you need to seperate the flip key top and botton
then remove the badge( took me ages to figure out why i couldnt slipt the top bit!) you will then see a small screw udo this then the key will open up to reveal a little cylindrical chip.
you then need to open up your spare key the one with no remote this is easy did it with my nails and in that you will see a bit of white rubber and under this in the chip plase this in your flip key and put flip key one in hear fro now!
then reassemble the key and get seat badge from dealer
to code the remote you need the old original key in the ignition with it turn on then lock the door with the new key remove key then press unlock and horn will blip wait 6 second and press unlock again the key is now coded to your car!
cost about 30 quid including new badge and plenty on ebay
the key part no. i got and that i know works is HLO 1JO 959 753 AG

I did think about doing this but we're a two SEAT household, I need some way of differentiating between the car keys!

We have 2 flippy keys for the new FR
Both 3 button (one is a Passat key, the other an Alhambra)
Strangely tho, with the Seat key the Boot open feature works, but doesn't with the VW one

Simple operation as Gaz explained
Buy key
Get blade cut
Code alarm by putting original key in ignition, and new key in door
turn key to unlock position and press button
remove badge and undo screw
remove top half of key
pop open, and replace chip with one from original spare key

you now have a fully functional flippy key :)
