FMIC opinions on performance pd130

Hi Guys,

Considering getting a FMIC for my pd130 I'm remapped to about 170bhp. Am I going to notice any performance benefits from fitting a FMIC (other than lower intake temps) or would I need another remap to notice the difference.

Running stock internals just a de-cat miltek and panel filter.

I will most likely be going for a THS as the welds are much stronger i understand. I think my SMIC got knackered when my turbo went pop 30k miles ago.

What sort of figure is the going rate?

I understand a lot of the piping needs to be changed etc?

youre looking at a couple for the core then same again on piping. Its worth it though

anyone got any rolling roads before and after a fmic on a PD130 whilst running a stage 1 map? I really wanna know what (if any) bhp/mpg ill be noticing?

I do know dark side developments offer a smic rated upto 230bhp for around 275 if that's any use to you

Proberly loose power with the side mount from heat soak. So a fmic will benefit alot. Best mod I've done

What sort of gains will I get approx on a stage 1 revo map with fmic? Will the mpg be a good gain also?

I haven't mapped mine but I'm going stage 2 when I'm ready. I assume you'll be in the 170 bhp bracket on a revo map

Actual power gains from a FMIC wont be much, but it'll pull harder for longer in the summer months without suffering heat soak.

The Seat Sport intercooler is an ideal upgrade.

We have our customers running 230 - 240hp with these coolers fitted

What can the s s intercoolers handle? When I got one off eBay it turned out the cores where burst, so whoever had it must of ran high pressure. Ended up with the ths one, much better built

I'd go for the THS version rather than the Seat Sport any day of the week.

Im running 274bhp throught the seat sport one. No problems as yet.
