Hi,

Would be grateful if someone could confirm if fog light grill needs to come out to remove fog light from the front on a 2014 Mk3 Seat Leon 5F 1.4tsi SE. If anyone had photos it would be helpful.

Many thanks

Harry

This is from the owners handbook, for non FR models.

You need a Torx T20 screwdriver. The handbook doesn't mention the 20mm long black clip at top centre of the fog lamp. Also, the innermost of the three screws is above a cutout in the bumper. If you drop the screw you lose it. If you haven't got a magnetic screwdriver slip a piece of card in.

Thanks for your reply, really appreciated . Could you please confirm if the light grill requires the trim tool to remove or can it be removed without?

This is a video of a fog light bulb change on a Seat Ateca. The procedure for the SE is the same, so you can see the effort required to remove it. It is quite flexible so if you can get your fingers behind the inner corner you will be able to pull it out.

Incidentally, the man in the video is fitting a high power headlight bulb.

Thanks for all the help, managed to remove the init without too much hassle.

Tork T20, there are two holes the screw is in the innermost one the other hole is for alignment. Read all the thread especially EFF11’s post.

Can anyone explain what the difference is on a FR model please? My FR looked completely different to what it shows in the picture. 2015 model by the way.
