Folding mirrors

Hi picked up our new leon last night and despite having set up on the media screen and checked everything I can think of the mirrors refuse to fold in when locking car I hold button down as stated but nothing happens. Our old leon jun 2014 all worked fine .any suggestions or has this option been deleted cheers.

Which model do you have? There are certainly some generic items in the system set up - just because you can change the setting doesn't mean you have it(!). I have folding mirrors as I have the FR. However, I don't have the comfort pack yet I can still see options relating to it...

I don't think you need the comfort pack for this. Do your windows close/open all the way when you hold the window switch down? it may need recalibrating as the window control is linked to the mirrors.

No, you don't need comfort pack. I was just making the point that the infotainment system definitely gives settings for stuff not specced on your specific car.

I leave mine on the L side switch for reversing and mine always close.

Same here. Leave mine set on L for the tilt in reverse feature and mine always fold in when I hold the button.

Does anyone know if you can set the mirrors to fold without holding the button for 3 secs? While not the end of the world, it's much easier to push the button once and they fold rather than standing there with the button held, waiting for them to fold... Wife's Audi does it that way and my Touareg did too and it's surely the default setting if you have gone to the bother of speccing folding mirrors?

Yes. You can programme them using VCDS. Many of us on the forum have them & will often help in exchange for a few beer tokens. There are literally dozens of things you can change using VCDS. Just have a look on the relavent pages on here.

Thanks for that CC. Spent an hour on the forum this evening looking up what can be done and the list is huge! Now to get some of them done
