Hello friends,
I have just bought my first car ever, the new seat ibiza style auto 1.0L 110HP and I'm really excited about it :)

I just want to know if this version has auto folding mirros(thou it's not that really important to me)?

Thanks

If you look at the knob on the driver's door which allows you to select either the NS or OS for adjustment (assuming you have electric mirrors). If you can rotate that control 180 degrees from the "0" position that should fold the mirrors if you have that option.

Ok so I'll check this when I'll get the car next week.
But will they fold on locking/unlocking the car?

Not as standard. But if you look at the Carista thread you'll find it is probably possible, but you will have to get the Beta version of the application.

Ok wow, wasn't familiar with this app! But why beta version? you can download the app from google play store..

Not sure what the standard paid for app offers - the next formal release has been in Beta for some months now with a lot of extra options. If you sign up for the Beta test programme you can do the changes for free. Folding mirrors, lap timer, Park sensor visualisation and lots more are available. Certainly worth investigating.

From the other thread:

I've done it using VCDS.

In Module 09 Central Electrics -> Adaptions
Channel was:
IDE08542-ENG116658-Access control 2-Funk Spiegelanklappen: Not Active
IDE08542-ENG116665-Access control 2-Funk Spiegelanklappung Modus: By convenience operation via remote control key
IDE08542-ENG116660-Access control 2-Menuesteurung Funk Spiegel anklappen: Not Active
IDE08542-ENG125658-Access control 2-Profilfunktion fur Anklappung der Aussenspiegel: Not Active
IDE08542-ENG126612-Access control 2-Spiegelanklappung geschwindigkeitsabhangig: Active

Channel changed to:
IDE08542-ENG116658-Access control 2-Funk Spiegelanklappen: Active
IDE08542-ENG116665-Access control 2-Funk Spiegelanklappung Modus: By look command via remote control key

Now in the car, go to Car Settings -> Mirrors and Wipers.

Previously this menu had been curiously named as despite the name, it only had options for wipers with nothing at all to do with mirrors.
But now you'll have a new option of "Mirrors - Fold away after parking". The menu item should already be ticked from the VCDS changes.

Mirrors behave exactly as you'd expect - fold away when locking, and unfold when starting the ignition.

Is there any tutorial or something about it?
Does it break the warranty?

If you are worried about a tutorial, I'd go the Carista route - it's self explanatory. Warranty issue? Dealer could get arsy if you had a problem in that area. Easy to undo though, so I'm doubtful if it would arise.

I'm not worried about a tutorial, It's just that I have never played with it so I want to learn the basics or something..

Just saying that with Carista (as opposed to VCDS) you just have to select the App with a OBD2 Bluetooth adapter in the socket (remove the cover just above your knee on the driver's side) select the Customise option and take it from there. VCDS is more powerful, but less user friendly.

Yeah I know it's just that Carista costs money to operate...
