SO what happens if people turn their DV the "other" way round? - Is it just the sound that chages or does it adjust the performance??

What are the sounds like? Can it be damaging to the engine??

It makes a really unique sound, I think it sounds good i have mine reversed, There isnt really any performance gain from having it the other way maybe just a little more responsive, also does not damage the engine, I think i read somewhere that forge recommend the valve the other way,

mines reversed and you get a whoosh at low boost, when your booting it you get the woosh and a chirp like noise, like a mettalic ching lol, sounds pretty cool mate, if you dont like it its only 3 clips to re fit

i run mine reverse, just because 99% of piston type DV's have the boost acting on the base of the piston,

in my case instead of putting the load of 18psi on the perimetre o-rings, you're putting it all on the base of the piston, seems for longevity and logical thinking, the correct way imo

so do i just have to disconnect it and turn it around?? - will it throw up any eml lights??

I would defo agree with this !!! When i serviced my 007 the other month (it was the oem way for 10,000 miles) the piston seemed to stick in the bore. i then decided to reverse it as i read that it was better to have it that way. i like the noise it makes i would never have it oem again always reversed.
