Hi people

When fitting my forge tip today, my mate told me that i have had my forge dv fitted the wrong way round. I had it fitted like no.1 ref image, but he recons it should be fitted like no.2, because the pressure is at the intercooler end and so needs to push against the piston in the dv.

Just wondering which way round people have fitted their dv?

I would use method 1 so that boost pressure is sat on the side of the piston rather than at the base and possibly pushing it open! Method 2 is said to be slightly louder.

I thought that the piston needed to be pushed up at the base? How do the gasses get released when pressure is on the side of the piston, doesnt it force the piston shut?

I think you will find that forge say its fine to run it either way! I run my dv as shown in method 1.

number 1 is correct its the other valve that forge do that gives you recirculating and atmos you have to fit the other way round.
