Forge Short shifter for the 6 speed gear box

resurrecting this thread, did anyone buy one and how do they rate them?, was going to get one fitted to the TDI, anyone do this?

Yes I got one, pretty good yes, of course is adjustable so you can set it to your preference. Its a trade off between shortness and notchyness.

Buy one and try....takes a little over 10 mins to fit, if you no like, take off and return, simple..........

Think he wanted to know if it's available for the 5 speed 1.9tdi.........the merits of the product would of course come later, but i would go as far to say that it's an improvement on the OEM although in my case there were issues that needed addressing, R.W knows all

My other half is intending buying me this for my birthday so would also like to know what opinions are.. I probably dont need one but have an urge to fit one.

For the money a MUST buy, you will not regret it. Fits in minutes and when you come to sell the vehicle can be removed in just the same time, then you can sell on and get back most of your money paid!

I have one on my Leon FR and swmbo has one on her Octy VRS

yes i seen that on my travels Dan.but the delivery is £6 so with star getting it i dont pay for the delivery.the other way would only save a £1 or so, but i can live with it.

Sorry for being clueless but what do you mean by 'notchy'?

moving into a gear may be slightly more clunky and stiff.

I noticed that straight away.. Bit worried about leaving it in a position that may do some damage...

Its bloody good though!!!
