Forge Split R D.V help please!?

hmmm ill try that on mine, just tried it on an 007P and it does hold a slight vacuum but it doesn't hold the piston wide open.

Do you feel any vacuum on your finger/thumb at all?

No no vacuum at all...if i push the piston up quick with my finger i can feel air coming out the nipple but then i place my finger on it (even tried my lip! more sensitive) and no vacuum at all and the piston just drops

very odd. I take it when its fitted to the car your getting exhaust chatter?

if i tighten the valve up yeh i do get chatter but if i loosen it it wont just makes the tssh noise

Id do what I said before and hook it up to the car but leave unplugged from the TIP, give it a few hard revs and that way you'll know for sure what is going on... if you don't hear the boost blowing out of the valve then its broke.

Excluding all of this, are you sure your car is boosting

I'll give that a try then when its taken out of the TIP when a can get me mate round.

Yeh its defo boosting 20psi (when the f***er aint in limp mode!)

which dv ?

Could anyone shed some light on which dv is most suited for my ibiza 1.8t. I see people prefer forge split-r and the 007p. Any feedback would much appreciated.

its all about personal preference mate. Either one really. The split r is adjustable were as the 007p is just recir.

what exactly is the chatering?does this make the car miss under boosting?because when i put my foot down the car seems to be missing,i put the car on a vag machine and no problems,any ideas?

with chatter it comes through ur filter. Do you have any t pieces on ur vacuum hose. What size is ur vacuum hose. Wha dv u running?

Hi mate, i live in Gorseinon and work in the theatre in town in Llanelli, ive got a red MK3 ibiza Cupra, if u need a hand with anything give us a shout, ive got a split R and done the N249 bypass.

i spoke to forge about this and they asked me to send it to them to check, they sent me a brand new one out! top service, they do hold slight vacuum that u can feel on your finger on the nipple, but my knakerd one didnt hold any at all,
