Forge TIP on a stock LCR ? anyone?

Hi guys, has anyone fitted a forge TIP to a stock Leon Cupra R ??

If so, were there any noticable gains ???

And, would I see or notice any difference with a Forge TIP and my minor mods which are listed below (apart from the 6k HIDs lol)

is a tip classed as a mod? tought its just a upgrade stoping the pipe from collapsing. been looking at them myself.

The TIP can give better throttle response with the mods you have here. TBH its a must do. do it then its one thing out of the way. THS seem to have a good name on here and are a good bit cheaper than the Forge one. I have a full set of Forge hoses just so I don't have to worry about these any more.

Looking at what you have already, the TIP seems like the next logical step.

Thats a good review but why did you only log the OEM TIP to 5,000 RPM(at 160 g/s) and log the Forge TIP to 5,000 RPM, the same 160 g/s but then carried on to 6,500 RPM where you claim the peak g/s???

I doubt this results would convince me to buy one as they aren't a true representation of the OEM v's Forge.
Also according to the graph the Stock one flows better for a start, a full 200 RPM better.
you say delivery is smoother but you also say there is hesitation which is obvious in the graph

Strange that this was taken as a good review by the MK1v forum members

There is a good difference in performance on the cupra (k03s), I did before and after rr runs and gained 10bhp from the tip alone. Same rr and operator for each run.

i changed mine at the same time that i got my 007p. i noticed the power delivery felt smoother and seemed to spool up quicker. if you intend to get the car mapped then its well worth doing.

i fitted one a couple of weeks ago and didn't notice any difference.
Having said that at the top where it joins to the MAF i had forcefully bend it on but hope it has loosen up a touch with the heat, etc. but if not i will call them.
Also one word of advice, the jubilee clip where the pipe mounts to the turbo was close to going as big as it could and the outside diameter of the forge one is bigger due to the extra reinforcement. might be an idea to have a slightly bigger one handy otherwise its very tight getting it over

i also are having problems getting the filter to fit in to the TIP

or is the maf sensor tubing diameter smaller that of the filter ? filter is about 8.5 cm en the TIP insert is 7.7 cm

Turbo inlet pipe.
It goes from the airbox down to the turbo.

the stock pipe tends to be vacuum and collapse when revved near 5000 rpm

the video always has me thinking, surely the cause is a restriction in the airbox

The weakest part of the link , the rubber TIP, will collapse when it cannot draw in enough air.

R-Power has put up a thread "Performance Torque Remap" and it goes into a discussion about the TIP aswell. I have read that there is noticeable difference in 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th with smoother delivery and quicker spool up time, but in 5th and 6th .. it feels like the boost drops ...

has any one else experianced this ? also, on the post R69 has put up (review) they guy on that says that he was getting hesitation ? is this normal and has it happened to anyone else?

If your planning on fitting the TIP and being impressed with the difference DON'T FIT IT. This will not change the power of the car and will not be noticable enough and you will be dissapointed. But if your going to get a remasp at some point buy this and fit it when you are getting remapped.
If you want to fit something that will make your car feel faster and accelerate better without remapping try a sprint booster.
This is the only thing I have doen to my car that makes it feel fater, not hoses, not CAI kit, not FMIC.... None of these made my car feel faster.
The people who said they felt a difference through all the gears with fitting a TIP????????? You really felt a difference, REALLY???

I got 8BHP 9ft-lbsmore with fitting a CAI, full set of hoses and DV. Now if these guys can feel this amount of increase I'm impressed.
You will feel more difference if your not using V Power and you start using it all the time.
