Nice build there, I bet you´re looking forward having her back on the road:)

What would you oppinion be on the toyosprt vs the forge? any huge difference hence to logs like AIT and CF?

Reason for asking is that Ive fitted a hybrid+ (like Bill´s lupo) with 3" TIP but Im still running the forge. I dont seem to get the full power out of it and thinking it might be downt to the forge fmic and shite-plumping, also seeing sky-high EGT in collector, could be downt to running a tad lean. I´ll be pressuretesting boost before and after the cooler as soon as all my plastic vacuum T-pieces arrives shortly.

What´s your impression of the forge fmic vs toyo?

Looking forwards to see how your car will preform

Hello Prebs long time no chat yer I can't wait to get her back on the road.
Before I had toyo I had forge cooler was seeing very high intake temp around 40 deg!
Fitting toyo one I saw lows of 14 degree.

I'm my opinion it is essential you ditch the forge cooler to get the most out of you hybrid plus.
The forge coolers on ok ko3 max very rubbish cooler with badly designed piping.

Cf wise my car always sees higher cfs becuase of forged 82.5 pistons. So no real change in cfs.
Eg I cannot qoate on at this time.

Also if you have not already go one 3inch downpipe and Exhuast helps a lot!
What power did you make????

Yea long time. To be honest Ive bin a bit fed up of my hole project so I´ve left the car untouched for a long time, but as spring getting closer I got my head strait and decided to pull my sleeves up and get it up and running.

It all started last may when everything was fitted and ready for a new map. I drove 466 miles to have it mapped witch was supposed to be done by on of the best tuners in the scandinavia with a good review from others petrolheads over here. Drove carefully with EBC set to actuator pressure and drove it like my granny would.

Shortly told, it ended up with 220hp@ the wheels and the tuner told me there wasn´t anymore to get from the turbo. He then quoted me for £1700 witch I payed and drove directly for trackday.

I immedatly felt the car was strugling and didnt feel well. nearly 500 miles later I got to track, went out and drove a few laps. I then got the confirmation I had suspect, the car didnt preform nearby what I had expected. Hooked up the vagcom and logged 020 witch showed 12.3!!!! As you can imagine quite a shock. 12.3 is the highest vagcom can detect witch again mean ABSOLUTLY KNOCKIG. Drove 1 lap too cool things down and went strait to pit and left the car. No more driving for me that weekend so I bought two sixpack´s instead and started to hit on every girl that went by our tent, next best thing to racing I guess:)

Well, I´ve now fitted a EGT probe in the collector on my frankenmani and a mocal oil cooler kit. I had a chat with "master Bill" and he´s now helping me out. I´ve ditched the dangerous muppet-map and got a new ECU witch was sendt to Bill for a hybrid map.

I now got a basic hybrid map from Bill witch we are workin on (small adjustmens with UNISETTINGS) and the car feel A LOT chrisper, but I still havent given her full beans only short WOT as wideband showing 12.2 and temp as high as 1040C (going throu the gears) so it seems like she´s running a bit lean.

Im also suspecting the forge not to cope with the flow and will be looking to fit a toyosport like yours but with 2.5" in/outlets. Will log pressure before and after forge first to see how much drop I get in boost pressure as soon as all my vacuum fittings arrives for the plumping. Luckily I both have autometer boost gauge and EBC witch shows boost so by moving the automter before the cooler I will have a good idea on whats going on pressure wise when comparing.

Loads of Dissapointment IMHO but I guess thats what this is all about! The intens eager to always having more and making it work most of the time. It´s all so fun when its working but all so sad when it isnt! Hopefully I will be smiling behind my ibiza again as she have stood by my side for nearly 8 years and mostly all of my youth so, saga continues:D

I need a dif on mine! it was on my list of things to get.
For piping I used eBay Intercooler pipes they dont seem to sell the kit anymore
and then decent silicone pipes. Pics in my rr sumwhere
It's not so hard took a few weeks to do but not flat out weekend and after work.

If in honest. No future plans for her at all just back on the road and enjoy. Saving my money for a house from now on. 280bhp and silly torque is more than enough for me.

Thanks for the tip mate, I´ll look around for a universal kit on the bay that looks similar. If you hear about someone selling up a decent cooler-setup let me know:)

Diff is a must for a setup you´ve got but pricey, you would def gain alot from fitting one. I know all about trying to save up for house Im in the same boat but Im not good at it at all...

Good luck with getting it her back on the road:)

i have been thinking about it for a long time now. mine is far from a perfect example if i had one with 60k on the clock i would keep it but at 120k the whole shell is just starting to die.

plus the cars drivetrain was never ment to take 340+ ft/lb and with rusty cv and driveshafts. and anti roll bars. its never going to hold on much longer. looking under my car i get that sinking feeling that cant go away. its time for me to cut my losses and sell up

i just hope it all goes to a good home and someone has as much fun as i have had with this setup
plus im just helping you guys out by raising the price of them!

As long your sure its right for you thats all that matters!

Minds only on 45k so don't think I'll ever beable to get rid or break any time sooon! Plus now I'm running arbs all round I'm in love with mine again, the way it handles it doesn't need any more power lol shame you can't regain the love, this being your 2nd Cupra? I'm sure your be back :D

Good luck with it mucka :)

this is for berg showing the intake fitment just first picture to show where the grub screw is located below. for fitment you will need to re silicone seal.

for relocating gearbox cables im sorry but the bracket i had made is pretty pants so you may need to get you head around this yourself. as for the intake it only has dump valve inlet as you can see below.

this picture may also come in handy regarding water pipe modifications.
