FR diesel 2008 no power or boost

Good evening all, I recently purchased a mk Leon FR diesel and I am having power issues.

The car drives like it has no turbo but does make a spin up noise from time to time. The car is definitely getting hotter then it should but I have no EML or codes! I don't want to put a turbo on for no reason. Any help appreciated ?

You need to read fault codes with a proper system like VCDS, there should be loads.

I have but says systems not available, looks like it had some cheap map! Could it be a boost leak??

Without any codes it could be loads of things, including the map, but i'd start by checking for boost leaks. Tbh I'd be more concerned with why it's overheating and how hot it's got! No point chasing low boost if headgasket is gone.

There is no oil/coolant mix or scum on the oil filler cap. The temp gauge doesn't shoot up but found 2 plastic boost pipes warped from heat exposure so I was assuming turbo gone but wanted to see if boost leak could be a possibility. As I said it's just got no boost.
