I bought an FR grille yesterday and am trying to fit it, but the old grille seems like a bitch to remove.

Anyone have any hints / tips to get it off without breaking it?

I've removed the two plastic plugs at the top, but theres not enough room to wiggle the grille out.

SERE Motors - in the dealer section of the forum. Got a good price on it too :)

Got it fitted in the end, wasn't easy lol - but once you see how it comes out its probably easier.

It does make the front look so much better :)

I might be after a little bit of your knowledge in remove and fitting a new one if I decide to do this.

Will the chrome outside be okay to paint?
Got a bit of a plan :)

Yeh no problem, I'm always happy to help

I think it should be ok to paint, you'd just need a good plastic primer probably.

If my car was white or yellow I'd definitely have painted the chrome black, but I think the chrome works on on the red.

Though I might photo shop it sometime just to see.

Ah thank you mate.
I'm still waiting on my car to be delivered and I'm already planning little mods :)
I've gone for candy White and have bit if a crazy idea of the chrome bit being a pale blue haha
not sure how it'll turn out, time will tell haha
