Does anyone think the grab point on the clutch too sensitive on Leon FR??
Is the clutch the same in a 08 Leon FR to a 08 Leon Cupra??
I'm looking at a remap and exhaust done on my 08 Leon FR but I drove an 08 Cupra to see the difference in power. It does have more top end power but mine has more torque. The nicest difference was how smooth the power delivery was and how soft the clutch felt. So easy to get smooth gear changes and to pull away smooth in 1st gear.
I find with my fr that if I'm not concentrating I get a bump movement from a not so smooth transition clutch engagement and another bump from the turbo about 2300 rpm. It might sound pathetic but I do like a smooth transition. I hope the remap can sort out the turbo.
The car is a year and a half old and shouldn't be difficult to drive smoothly. I'm sure if someone else drove the car would agree that it's not easy to drive smoothly.
I've thought about if it's possible to change the clutch master cylinder for a smaller bore to push less fluid to the slave cylinder for a wider grab point or run a different size line but run the risk of not having full disengagement... I don't know if it will mess everything up. I just like the Cupra clutch so much more.
Does anyone else agree or does it sound like something isn't right with it?
