FR Supercharger sound

Every time i ''hit'' the pedal i hear the whooshing of the turbo at after 2k,the supercharger's whine is more subdued,but can still be heard,mostly at low speeds though.

People complaining that the turbo is quiet must be driving different car as the ''whoosh'' is moderately loud.

Did that celica really think it could beat a V8???!!!! hahahahaha. Not to sure I like the sound of the supercharger though, almost sounds like a rotary IMHO.

As you can see space is kinda tight down by the charger. he pulley with the four bolts on it is the water pump, the coupling sits behind that and drives the supercharger.

Sounds like the supercharger coupling could be slipping. Mine did the same giving a chrip when accelerating from low revs, back off the throttle and reapply and it would do the same.

Is that bad?

No its only an annoyance if anything, doesnt harm anything and doesnt seem to have a noticable effect on performance

what so your saying it could be the coupling...mine has this noise.

i dont know whether i like it or not...in my eyes sometimes i think its good..kind of a whislte to let people know your there then u put footdown and they will hear u...

I love it, ive had my car 6days now, and im struggling to drive econically, but hey, i bought this car because of what it is, im gunna drive it properly.

Everytime i see a group of people i did the accelator to hear it rev and the turbo woosh! see their heads flick and follow the car.
Im in love with this car...
