Just a heads up. Had a knocking, from front passenger side, turns out the drop link needed replaced - at only 44k!

Anyhoo, replaced under warranty incase anyone has similar problems ;)

Hi, was it intermittent? i.e. did the noise go away after a few miles once the car has warmed up? I have a very similar problem, been in the dealers 3 times in the last 12 months and it NEVER makes the noise[:@] even when kept overnight. It is noticible on rough/uneven/bumpy ground. My car is 07 with 22K but this noise has been present on and off from 9K.

Any advice will be much appreciated!

I would check engine mounts - a cold engine (especially diesel) vibrates a LOT more when cold and any wear in an engine mount rubber would be more noticeable. Just a thought . . .

Nope, noise was always there - though not on flat motorway ground obviously, but over any speed bumps or potholes. ;)
