I'm coming up to needing a 40k service needing done on my FR TFSI and am trying to find out if anything else needs doing, specifically the cam belt but have been unable to find a definite answer.
Just had my 40,000 service done. Oil and filter, air filter, pollen filter, plugs, brake fluid and all the usual visual checks. Stealers qouted me £290. Now that the car is out of warranty I got it done in an independant VAG specialist for £165 which included Quantum Platinum fully synthetic oil.
From memory the Cambelt is about 100000km (60k miles) on the petrol and 120000km on the diesel, could be wrong it does say somewhere in the service book cos I checked mine out and it was about 70000-75000 miles
On TFSI it states in the service book something like 11 years or 110.000 miles but don't think mine will be going past 4 or 5 years which will be about 50.000 miles
