I was wondering if anyone ever found what caused the TFSI to hesitate at 5000 rpm?
Mine has only done this twice yesterday but I was in 2nd gear got to 5000 rpm and it died for a second then ok again then into 3rd 5000 rpm again the same.
The engine maybe wasn't at full temp but at least quarter on the gauge.
I have tried it a few times since and it hasn't done it again, the only thing I would say is sometimes it does not pull as hard above 5000 rpm ie revs slower to rise like there is no boost and other times it will spin the wheels?
My car has had an angel tuning remap for the last 20000 miles and has a turbo back milltek exhaust plus the latest mod was a Neuspeed Pflow been on 1500 miles.
It has recently had the fuel filter replaced (genuine part) and iridium plugs (these were changed for routine not a fault) it also has a rev D dv and running a bsh catchcan so pcv not connected. Cam follower replaced 9000 miles ago and the old one was ok though.
Does anyone have any ideas I used the search but couldn't find any answers
Cheers Kev

The 5200 rpm hesitation usually happens at wot from 3rd gear onwards so doesn't sound like you have that issue

Do you have any ideas then pov?
Could it be as it was not fully warm? But that doesn't explain my intermittent power loss above 5000.
Have you ever heard of a rev d valve playing up?
Cheers kev

Mate don't take your car over 3000 revs if it's not warmed up no wonder it's hesitating...cold turbo =blown turbo so let it warm up fully before gunning it fella.

I don't normally mate but I was joining a fast a road.
This maybe why it hasn't done it again.
Cheers

Fuel filter, spark plugs and coilpacks is what I'd investigate first

I fitted my cambelt and waterpump today and checked coilpacks and plugs all ok, but to be fair its ran great since I posted this thread.
It may just be that it hasn't been fully warmed up when I have noticed this.
Hope so. Thanks for the replies.
