Hi, if there are any Diesel freetrack owners out there, can they tell me is there some transmission vibration when applying power in 5th or 6th at 70ish. We have had the car a few weeks, having had a good test drive, its a 57 plate bought from a Seat dealer. But when we took it on long motorway journey I noticed a vibration at about 70, which isn't there when coasting, if you the apply the power you get a slight hesitation and some vibration. If you change down it acelerates smoothly. I asked the dealer to look at it but they say they can find nothing wrong with it, they have replicated the symptom but say its just teh way the car is. its not a big deal but if its no right I want it dealt with. Any thoughts.

I also have an 08 Leon FR with the same engine which does not have this vibration, I realise that the transmission is completely different.

Thanks for any comments.

My tdi does this! its now more noticeable since i've had it remapped, gives a little shudder has half a second think, and then off it goes!

Hi, just thought i would let you know that after several further visits to the dealer we eventually got this matter resolved. SEAT put them onto the right track, its apparently a known issue with the haldex system/drive shaft. This was replaced and problem solved. The galling thing is thas exactly what I told the dealer it felt like months ago!!!!!!

Do you have any more details on this known issue?

Do Audi's suffer it too?

Regret I do not know the detail. only that the cure involved the replacement of the haldex unit.
