They should cost too much then if only 17's. mine are 18's and wouldn't spend any less now then £120. Plenty of threads on here about tyres. Lots of advice and places to go to , to get them . :)

Thanks, any advice about the FM radio signal? Other than checking the connection, is this a common issue?

yo bud, yeah radio signal hmmm if you get absolutely nothing, unscrew the aerial and check thread for damage, white corrosion powder. if that's clean trace it through the car n check for breaks.
VAG cars do need amplifiers to run clear signal but u can usually hear something. you can get an amplifier from hellfrauds for around 15 notes or visit sextons on Bristol road, Paul knows a good bit about VAGs in general as he has had a few LCR, S4 BI-TURBO to name two lol.
those wheels are standard bud for the cupra facelift although someone has violated them with paint.:D

dude you gotta ditch that steering wheel cover, cudos on leather interior tho, sweet.

Thanks for your replies inch0408. I thought the standard wheels were 16s and mine are 17s.

The leather inside is nice and good condition for her age. The wheel cover is a bit crap but the actault steering wheel is showing some signs of looking aged and looks better with it on (came with the car).

Iv had some work done to her and the chap says the ariel wire has been broken somewhere along the lines so that's getting fixed tomorrow along with my passenger window. I got 4 tyres today and the tracking sorted. So £719 for car, £686 insurance, £450 for repairs and everything will be tip top apart from the glove box handle which can wait till I have more money lol

Cheers, was of money super market I got it and it was for admiral who couldn't beat their own quote directly lol Thanks for the info about the wheels. Tbh if I were to change the steering wheel of only be interested in one with controls for music and to control an usb music source with buttons for phone calls over Bluetooth. I expect I'll just leave it as it is and when I upgrade some time in the future I'll get a more modern model. What is it for driving?

Ahh sorry mate, they had one last week, a red one because I had a little bit of boot trim out of it. They would have crushed it I reckon

No need to be sorry I appreciate the heads up :)

I went down to Makro in Bristol and back today and after filling up before I jumped on the motorway and by the time I got back back to Gloucester the fuel gauge only just moved off full, the economy is so much better on longer runs and I was going 70-85. My Mrs is almost convinced all the money iv spent is worth it lol

I was at Bucklands on Thursday... the red Leon was still there but missing a fair few bits! The glove box was still there I think so would be worth heading down to check! I got the main part of the tailgate trim a couple of weeks ago and went back for some of the electrics :)

I'll see if I can take a trip down there in the week, thanks :)

Thanks :) the seats are amazingly comfy, even on a lengthy journey. I did a 50-60 mile round trip from Gloucester to Bristol and back and my bum suffered no travelers fatigue or numbness lol

Thanks for this I got the glove box handle and mechanism for £4 and took 2 minutes to fit with out any problems. My interior looks much better now :)
