just had my lcr in for a service they guy advised me that both front bottom arm (rear) bushes are starting to seperate and will need replacing anybody any ideas what these are because i haven't a clue.cheers

Yes i think so jase, i had these replaced under warranty on my ibiza last month as they were shagged.

rear bush in the front wishbone is common to wear even at low mileage. Be best to replace with uprated ones such as Powerflex

Hi,

Ive got a Mk 4 Ibiza.
I've just had a quote from Seat at £150 a side! Thats nearly £60 per hour labour, robbin' dogs!

I went to a local garage who said they could do it for £80 a side. Gettin' better but I would like to do it mysel if I can.

give awesome gti or any other company a ring and try and get some powerflex polybushes for it
be much better in the long run than replacing with OEM

i know that some tuner used to sell mk2 golf wishbones with poly bushes already pressed into them.can't think who it is now,but maybe they can supply them already pressed in for you to just swap over. i haven't done bushes myself, but i imagine they are in there pretty snugley

a press helps fitment yes.
pressing out std ones or cut and prise em out depending on what kit you have around you.
