Whats people got i want to change mine and i am running a jvc with 4x50w output would i have to change wiring or could i chop them in !?

Well its all up to you.
Whats your budget? I'm doing a custom install myself. I have 160w RMS going to each speaker
Not fitted them yet though.
Your headunit will be putting out around 20w RMS x 4 and 50w x 4 peak. Never go by the peak wattage cos it means nothing tbh.
Most speakers will fit. You just have to make them fit. My speakers are very deep. I have had to make some custom speaker rings to bring the speaker out from the door panel. The door card still fits over and you can't tell they have been changed from the looks.
You can buy some speaker adapters off eBay that will allow you to put some deeper speakers in. But if you want anything like my speakers, custom is the only way.

Sound deaden your doors to help the speakers create cleaner bass too.

just want to change them because my currents are blowing like mad and ive got a sub and 6x9s on the parcel shelf. id be looking to spend no more then £50

ok ill have a look and the speakers i think have about had it and they go all weird when turned up about half way !
That will be them being distorted. You can change your speakers but dont expect much from them.
If you want them to sound decent, you should amp them... just a small 50w RMS amp will make them sound loads better.

does my stereo need an output too an amp and how would i go about doing this im a noob to the in car ice thing !
Well if you've got a Sub fitted, then you should have pre-outs for an external amplifier.
£50 isn't a big budget. If you want some heavy hitters, you will need to spend a few more notes.
My Hertz Hi-Energy Component Front speakers are fully amped & they blow your legs off! Haha.
Best bet with distortion is Sound proof all the rattling panels & surrounding area. I've got some Dynamat to go into mine

Yes there's other ways, i.e. Phono cable spliters.

Got them for the price of the Hertz Energy's aswell. The local Audio Company who I've known for some while gave me a 20% discount.
They were cheaper than any web prices I found.I must of spent about 1k all round roughly. £100 on just cables/wiring! haha.
