Hi All,

My fist post here, hoping to get some advice on reducing the volume of front parking sensors (and rear) on 14 plate seat leon 5F (5Q0). Park up to the garage door and the front sensors scream at me whenever I get in car and switch ignition on...

Have got 15.7.4 and proper VCDS cable. When I try and access control modules 76 Park Assist and 10 Park / Steer Assist, it returns no response from controller.

Maybe the adaptation for volume is elsewhere in another module?

Any help with the procedure for this appreciated!

Bill

Hi, I'm sure the volume for parking sensors can be adjusted in the in-car settings. Try going to the 'car' menu and see if you can find the parking sensor volume in there. If not, let me know and I'll see if I can find out.

That's what I thought too, but I can't find an option to do that via the in car system which is why I started looking in VCDS... be great if you do find a solution in there!

If you follow this step-by-step it should work...

Thanks for the great pics. I don't have that menu 'parking and manoeuvring' on my unit :-( Yours is different looking to mine with CD front loader and SD card. All that stuff is in the glove box on mine, and my unit has NAV on it... don't know if that makes a difference. Can't see why I shouldn't have that menu on it though... as the car definitely has front and rear sensors! Think the fronts were an option, although a factory fit option when the car was new... will take it round to VAG garage this week and see if they can help.

Go through each 'setup' menu on each button, the 'car' setup menu is different to 'media' which is also different to 'radio' and so on. Keep browsing through each one!

No menu for that on mine. I reckon the fronts are not a factory fit but aftermarket. Speaker is behind the side panel next to glove box. Going to make my own diy volume adjustment... It doesn't really explain why there is no menu for volume adjustment on the rear sensors as they are definitely factory fit. Hmmm
